As suggested by our management I contacted by e-mail my MP.....Hazel Blears Labour MP for Salford. She replied promptly but passed me on to the Minister responsible for this area(Paul Myners).
His reply acknowledged our concerns but made no allowance for the fact that our mutual philosophy inevitably meant we had a high level of deposits. This level of deposits affects the levy the Society has to pay.

I would urge other members of Ecology to lobby their MPs to build a compelling case for changes to the FSCS
